This is a very important question to ask yourself. Everyone’s definition of beauty and what looks good is unique so you must first understand what your makeup style is and find an artist who shares your sense of aesthetic. Are you someone who wears your brows boldly and want to replicate that look with permanent makeup? Do you want winged tips on your eyes that extend beyond the natural curvature of your eye? Do you want bigger lips and want me to draw a prominent vermillion border that exceeds the natural border of your lips? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then I am certainly NOT the artist for you.
I see your face as a delicate canvas that is already beautiful and will gracefully change as you age. I believe a subtle enhancement is far more beautiful than an intense and dramatic look. I believe it’s fun to play with topical makeup and create drama for a night out or a special occasion, but don’t think it’s appropriate to wear on a daily basis, certainly not permanently. I apply the concept “less is more” in my approach to permanent makeup: you can always add, but it will be a long and arduous process to remove. My own brows and eyeliner have been done but not a single person can tell because my permanent makeup was applied very subtly. On my days off or when I’m at the gym, I don’t feel washed out because I have brows that frame my face and a thin eyeliner that makes my eyes look more awake without looking severe. When I go to work or go out at night, it takes just a few seconds to enhance my brows and eyeliner because I have a good template to follow.
There is an artist out there for everyone so it is up to you to do your research and find the one who will meet your needs. You have one face so partner up with the right artist. I am happy to provide you with referrals locally, nationwide and internationally.
